The Black Prince salad is a spectacular dish with an original taste, which makes it ideal as a festive treat. Make it one of two easy or high-calorie recipes. In the first case, you will put on the table a dish of dietary meat and fresh vegetables; in the second, you will delight your guests with a very nutritious snack.
Diet Black Prince salad
Ingredients:
- 300 g of beef;
- 1 green bell pepper;
- 2 small onions;
- 80 g each green and red lettuce;
- 30 g unsalted peanuts;
- 3 tbsp. table vinegar and water;
- 1/4 tsp each. ground black pepper and coriander;
- salt;
- vegetable oil.
Instead of beef for the light Black Prince salad, you can take any dietary meat, for example, veal, turkey or chicken fillets.
Wash the meat and cut it into thin strips approximately the same length. Heat some vegetable oil and quickly fry the beef slices in it until golden brown, stirring constantly to seal all the juice inside. Reduce heat to low, cover with lid and simmer until tender.
Tackle the vegetables while the main ingredient is cooking. Peel the onions and cut each into even, longitudinal slices. Mix vinegar with water and marinate onions for 15 minutes, then drain. Cut the stem off the peppers, remove the cores and cut the flesh into half rings.
Salt and season the meat 2-3 minutes before the end of cooking, remove it from heat. Place lettuce, pepper, onion, beef alternately on a plate and sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
Hearty Black Prince salad
Ingredients:
- 300 g of beef liver;
- 300 g of champignons;
- 150 g of hard unsweetened cheese;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 1 onion;
- 5-6 pitted olives;
- 30 g butter;
- 200 g of mayonnaise;
- a pinch of ground black pepper;
- 0.5 tsp salt;
- vegetable oil.
The liver will not taste bitter if you soak it in milk for half an hour.
Flush the beef liver, cut off tough films and ducts. Place it in a saucepan of salted water and simmer for 10 minutes at moderate heat.
Peel the onion, chop thinly and sauté in vegetable oil until soft. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces and add to the onion. Add a stick of butter to the skillet, season with salt and pepper and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes. Cook a hard-boiled egg on the adjacent hotplate.
Mayonnaise will evenly saturate the layers of the salad if you apply it with a mesh, cutting off a small corner of the bag.
Grate the boiled liver, cheese and egg on a coarse grater. Lay the Black Prince salad in even layers, smearing the first 3 with mayonnaise. Observe the following order: mushrooms, liver, cheese, egg. Decorate the dish with halved olives.
