If you like Asian cuisine, then you can cook beef in sweet and sour sauce as a hot meal for the holiday. There is nothing complicated in this dish. It is cooked in the oven. Your task will only be to make a marinade and hold the meat in it so that it absorbs the aroma of the seasonings well. In addition, instead of beef, you can take pork, which is baked even faster.

It is necessary

  • - Beef pulp (it is preferable to take a tenderloin) - 800-1000 g;
  • - Large onions - 1 pc.;
  • - Honey - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • - Wine vinegar - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • - Soy sauce - 80 ml;
  • - Ground coriander - 0.5 tbsp. l.;
  • - Sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • - Ground black pepper;
  • - Salt;
  • - Foil;
  • - Baking dish.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the meat under running water, pat dry with paper towels and cut across the grain into pieces about 3 x 7 cm.

Step 2

Now let's prepare the beef marinade. To do this, take a large bowl and pour soy sauce, wine vinegar, vegetable oil and honey into it. Add black pepper, salt to taste, ground coriander and mix well.

Step 3

Dip the meat pieces into a bowl and mix thoroughly with the marinade. Now the meat must be left to marinate - the longer, the tastier and more tender the dish will turn out. The minimum time is 1 hour. You can also leave it for half a day or overnight, covered with cling film and stored in the refrigerator.

Before baking, turn on the oven and set the temperature to 200 degrees. While it is warming up, peel the onions and cut them into circles at least 5 mm thick.

After that, take a baking dish, cover it with foil and place onion circles (not divided into rings) on the bottom. Place the pickled meat pieces on the onion. Cover the form with foil, securing the edges, and send to the oven for 1, 5 hours.

Step 6

After the time has passed, remove the dish from the oven, remove the foil, and transfer the beef to a large platter. Serve with boiled rice, fresh salad or bell pepper appetizer.
