Everyone knows about the benefits of salads and this dish has long occupied its niche on the festive and simple dinner table. The amount of ingredients that make up the salad depends on the hostess's imagination. But the main ingredient should be a sour apple.
Ingredients:
- Medium potatoes - 5 pcs;
- Chicken egg - 4 pcs;
- Medium carrots - 2 pcs;
- Canned green peas - 1 can;
- Sour apple - 1 pc;
- Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc;
- 1 medium-sized onion.
- Mayonnaise - 250 g;
- Salt;
- Fresh parsley and celery for garnish.
Preparation:
- Rinse the potatoes and carrots well with a brush to remove dirt and steam until tender. Then drain the water and leave to cool to room temperature. Peel vegetables and cut into very small cubes. Wash the bell pepper, dry it and remove the stalk with seeds with a sharp knife. Cut the pulp into thin strips.
- Peel the onions, chop finely and sprinkle with salt. Leave for 10-15 minutes and drain the resulting juice. Thinly cut the peel from the apple, remove the core with seeds and cut into small cubes. Chicken eggs, boil hard and cool in cold water. Then peel and grind on a coarse grater.
- Put the chopped vegetables in an enamel bowl, add grated eggs, green peas, after draining the liquid from it, salt. Season everything with mayonnaise or sour cream if desired and mix well.
- Place the previously washed and dried lettuce leaves on the bottom of the ceramic salad bowl. Put the finished salad on them with a slide and decorate with sprigs of celery and parsley. Put the salad in the refrigerator for an hour and a half, and then serve.
You can experiment with this recipe by changing the ingredients. Add canned corn instead of peas, for example. And if you want a spicy salad, then you can add garlic or hot pepper.
