Kaiserschmarrn is a traditional Austrian dessert. This is a pancake torn into small pieces with raisins, fried in butter, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with hot, poured jam or jam.

- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup rum (cognac, wine)
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanillin on the tip of a knife

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 4 tablespoons of any jam or jam
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the raisins. Soak it in 1/4 cup rum, brandy, or wine for 30 minutes. After impregnation, drain the liquid.
Step 2
Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, vanillin, salt in a bowl with a mixer or whisk. Add the sifted flour gradually.
Step 3
Melt 2 tablespoons in a large skillet. tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Pour the dough into a preheated skillet. Sprinkle raisins on top. Fry the pancake on both sides until golden brown.
Step 4
Using a spatula or two forks, tear the pancake into 2–3 cm pieces. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with 1/2 of the powdered sugar. Stir and continue to fry for another 2 minutes, until the icing sugar caramelizes.
Step 5
Serve kaiserschmarrn sprinkled with any jam or jam and powdered sugar. You can also garnish with berries.
