Farha bil khommus is translated from Arabic as “chicken in sauce with chickpeas”. The dish turns out to be moderately spicy, spicy. Chicken contains many beneficial properties: protein, vitamins A, B1, B2, as well as the vitamin niacin.

Step 1
First rinse the chicken well and cut into medium pieces, remove the skin.

Take a skillet, pour in vegetable oil and fry the chicken until golden brown.

Transfer the chicken to a plate. Put finely chopped onion in a skillet and fry until golden brown. Then add garlic, cardamom, cinnamon, red hot pepper, coriander and sauté all together for 1-3 minutes, add cilantro and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
Prepare the sauce. Peel the tomatoes and grate, transfer to a saucepan, fry for 3-5 minutes. Then add water, bouillon cube, fried chicken, chickpeas and mix everything, salt to taste.

Cover the saucepan with a lid and cook over low heat until the chicken is tender, about 35-40 minutes. Serve rice as a side dish.
