The weight of one fruit is from 15 to 40 g. The taste of most varieties is sour and slightly tart, and very small, therefore, they are most often processed into jam or compotes are cooked from them.

If you want to prepare compote from ranetki for the winter, for a 3-liter bottle you will need 1 kg of apples, a glass of granulated sugar and citric acid on the tip of a knife. Pre-sterilize the balloon, put the apples in it, you can also add a little chokeberry. Boil water and pour it into a bottle, let stand for 10 minutes, then drain again into a saucepan and boil. Add sugar and citric acid to boiling water, pour the syrup into a can of apples and roll it up with a canning lid. A few sprigs of basil or mint will give an interesting taste and color to the compote from ranetki.
