Thirst Bi laban is translated from Arabic as “chicken in yogurt sauce”. The chicken is slightly sour and also very tender thanks to the yogurt. Serve with rice and noodles.
It is necessary
- - 600 g chicken or chicken fillet
- - 300 g of yoghurt without additives
- - 1 onion
- - 125 ml of water
- - 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- - salt, pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
First rinse the chicken fillet well, then cut into pieces. And fry in vegetable oil until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and add it to the fried chicken, salt and pepper to taste. And sauté over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes, until the onions are clear and soft.
Step 3
Then add 125 ml of water and close the lid. Simmer over low heat until the chicken is cooked through, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 4
Prepare yogurt. Put yogurt in a saucepan, stir it with a whisk and put on medium heat. Stir the yogurt frequently to prevent curdling. When it boils, cook for a few more minutes and pour into the hot chicken.
Step 5
Cover the saucepan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 12-15 minutes. Serve rice with noodles as a garnish.
