Any dish instantly transforms when served in an unusual way. Even the simplest salad looks unusual and festive if it is served not on a regular plate or even in an elegant salad bowl, but in an elegant cheese basket, which even a novice hostess can make.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the required amount of cheese. Pay attention to the variety: it must be firm. Neither feta cheese, nor mozzarella, nor other similar options will work. It's best if you can find Parmesan cheese for your basket. You will need 100 g of cheese for one basket.
Step 2
Preheat the skillet without adding oil. Wait a few minutes for it to warm up well, and in the meantime, grate the cheese on a fine grater. Try to be careful to get roughly equal long shavings. Pour it evenly into the pan so that the surface is evenly filled. An alternative to a frying pan can be an oven - in this case, simply draw a circle of the desired diameter on the parchment and distribute the cheese evenly over the sheet.
Step 3
Do not leave the stove: as soon as the cheese melts a little (about 2 minutes), immediately turn off the heat. Do not immediately remove the cheese from the pan, let it cool slightly. If you cook in the oven, it will be enough to keep the cheese for 1-2 minutes (preheat the oven for 5 minutes at maximum temperature - if there is an airfryer function, use it).
Step 4
Separate the resulting cheese pancake from the frying pan or parchment, and transfer it to a previously prepared inverted glass or jar - the choice of dishes depends on what diameter of the base of the basket you require. If you want a product with even edges, align it in the middle of the container. Otherwise, your basket is any shape, while the cheese is still plastic, and then refrigerate. Your item will take about an hour to set, after which you can remove it from the glass and fill it with ingredients. Please note that a cheese basket can be made in advance - for example, the day before the celebration.
