Instructions

Step 1

Purchase quality pasta for cooking. Good quality products have a uniform color, slightly shiny, slightly translucent surface. There should be no crumbs or pieces of pasta in the package.

Step 2

Use a large, deep saucepan with thick sides to cook. Pour water into it at the rate of 1 liter per 100 g of pasta: in a large volume of water, the pasta will not stick together. Put a saucepan on the fire and wait for the water to boil.

Step 3

Season with salt and some vegetable oil. Place the pasta in boiling salted water, dipping it into the center of the pot. Do not diminish the fire, it is necessary that the boiling process be restored as quickly as possible.

Step 4

After boiling, stir the pasta to separate from the sides of the dish and from each other. Cook the pasta with the lid open, stir it again after a couple of minutes. It is no longer possible to add salt to them.

Step 5

During the cooking process, follow the cooking time indicated on the package, however, it may vary depending on the amount of pasta and water, on the intensity of the flame, on the hardness of the water. Therefore, you need to try them. Some people like pasta cooked in Italian al dente (half cooked), others prefer a dish cooked in the traditional way.

Step 6

Do not overcook the pasta, in this case, the dish will get stuck together. When the pasta is cooked, drain the water: use a colander for this, or just slightly open the lid of the pan and pour out the liquid. Do not rinse the pasta, it will be crumbly.

Step 7

Pour a little vegetable or butter into the finished pasta and mix well. Let them sit for a few minutes and stir again. While the pasta is cooling, you can stir it several times, then they will not stick together.
