Delicious salad from our childhood. You can completely recreate it in your kitchen without using crab sticks and mayonnaise!
It is necessary
- Rice - 1 tbsp.
- Red bell pepper - 2 pcs.
- Adyghe cheese - 200 gr
- Cucumber - 1 pc.
- Canned corn - 1 can
- Dill or parsley - 50 gr
- Sour cream - 250 gr
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard powder - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Salt, black pepper - to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse a glass of rice thoroughly in cool water. Put 1.5 cups of water to heat. Bring to a boil, add washed rice. Cook over low heat, covered with lid, until tender, about 20-30 minutes. Add more water if necessary. Finally, salt and turn off the stove. Leave the rice covered for 10 minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, prepare the rest of the ingredients. Wash vegetables and herbs well. Cut the pepper and cucumber into cubes. In addition to fresh cucumber, you can use several pickles. Chop dill or other herbs.
Step 3
Cut all the Adyghe cheese into cubes. Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl - cooled rice, pepper, cucumber, Adyghe cheese, herbs. Drain the corn and add it to the salad.
Step 4
Make homemade mayonnaise. To do this, mix sour cream, mustard powder, vegetable oil (preferably cold pressed), salt, black pepper, lemon juice. Mayonnaise is ready! Season the prepared salad with mayonnaise and cool in the refrigerator. Adyghe cheese resembles crab sticks in texture, and red pepper gives the color.
