Two types of flour are obtained from corn - coarse and fine. And the most famous products made from it are mamalyga - a national dish of Caucasian cuisine, as well as chips - a favorite (albeit harmful) children's delicacy.

Whatever is cooked from corn flour: tortillas, muffins, cookies, donuts, various types of bread and pies. The only drawback of this product is that during the cooking process, the resulting dough will rise for a very long time (or it may not rise at all), since this flour does not contain a natural element - gluten, which means that it can be mixed with wheat flour in the recipe. There is one way out of this situation - to take fine flour and beat all the ingredients very carefully and for a long time.

The biscuit made from corn flour is very tasty. If you make small adjustments to the usual recipe and dilute the required amount of wheat corn flour (by about 50%), and also add a little turmeric, you will get an unusually beautiful and aromatic dessert.

Cookies are often baked from corn flour. It can be a sweet or savory dessert, depending on the ingredients in the recipe. Some housewives manage to bake cookies even with vegetables, for example, zucchini or carrots (it turns out both beautiful and healthy!). And if you mix flour with spicy spices, you get an incredibly tasty snack for beer.

For cookies with zucchini (in the amount of 25 pieces) you need:

- 4 tablespoons butter;

- 1 tbsp. Sahara;

- ½ vanilla powder;

- 5 g lemon zest;

- a little salt;

- 200 g of premium flour;

- 100 g of corn flour;

- 1 small vegetable marrow.

Mix all ingredients until a thick dough is obtained. Put small pieces of dough on a dish with a spoon and bake at a temperature of 160-170 ° C for 25-30 minutes.

A dietary dish - oatmeal cookies with cornmeal. In this recipe, you just need to replace the required amount of the original product - wheat flour - with corn flour, and fine grinding is better, since very noticeable flour grains can come across from coarsely ground flour in baked goods.
