Corn porridge with dried fruits

Corn porridge cooked with dried fruits is very tasty and healthy. To prepare it you will need:

- 1 glass of corn grits;

- 2 glasses of milk;

- 2 glasses of water;

- 100 g of raisins;

- 100 g of dried apricots;

- 5 tbsp. l. butter;

- 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;

- salt.

Rinse dried apricots and raisins in warm water, then cut dried apricots into small cubes. Mix water with milk, bring to a boil, add sugar and salt, and so that there are no lumps, stirring all the time, gradually add sifted and washed corn grits. Cook, stirring constantly, until the porridge thickens.

Then, alternating the porridge with dried fruit and pieces of butter, transfer it to a cast iron or earthen pot (or small portion pots). Close the pot tightly with a lid and place in an oven preheated to 90-100 ° C for about an hour. During this time, the porridge should rebuke well.

Corn milk porridge in a slow cooker

To cook corn milk porridge in a slow cooker, you need to take:

- 1 multi-glass of corn grits;

- 1 liter of milk;

- 2 tsp Sahara;

- a pinch of salt;

- butter.

Rinse the corn grits and add to the removable multicooker bowl. Add granulated sugar, salt and butter. Pour in milk, if desired, you can dilute it with water in a 3: 1 ratio (1/3 of water is taken for 2/3 of milk). Mix everything well.

Set the "Milk porridge" mode on the control panel (in some multicooker it corresponds to the "Porridge" or "Soup" modes). The automatic cooking time for milk porridge in this program is 30-40 minutes. After the signal about the end of cooking, stir the porridge and leave for another 30 minutes in the keep warm mode.
