The technology of making homemade wine from Isabella does not differ from wine from other grapes. But the finished product has a subtle aroma inherent in this particular variety.

It is necessary

  • - grapes;
  • - bottles of 5-10 liters.

Instructions

Step 1

For homemade wine, prepare well-ripened bunches of grapes. Separate the berries from the twigs, this will at the same time help to exclude rotten fruits, because low-quality grapes will give the wine an unpleasant taste.

Step 2

It is not necessary to wash grapes for wine, unless as a last resort, when the berries are heavily contaminated. The fact is that on the surface of fruits and berries there are natural yeast fungi, which will be used for fermentation.

Step 3

Squeeze the juice from the prepared berries. To do this, use a juicer or a press, you can crush the berries with your hands. The main thing is to separate the liquid from the pulp.

Step 4

Fill bottles two thirds full with grape juice. This is necessary so that there is room for the fermented wort and for the foam, which will surely rise during the fermentation process.

Step 5

Close the bottles tightly with a stopper, into which insert a plastic tube. Dip the other end of the straw into a container of water that you place next to it. During fermentation, the wort will emit carbon dioxide, and it will go out through a tube into the water. Thus, oxygen does not get into the wine, under the influence of which the alcohol will turn into vinegar.

Step 6

Keep bottles in a warm place, preferably in a dark place. Periodically check the progress of the fermentation process, whether oxygen gets into the young wine. As soon as the emission of carbon dioxide bubbles stops and the wine becomes lighter, pour it into another container through the hose. At the same time, try not to get sediment from the bottom.

Step 7

Transfer the wine to a cool, dark place for final settling, close the bottles tightly. When the wine becomes transparent, drain it again from the lees and bottle it under the neck, seal tightly and store for at least 3 months in a lying position in the cellar. You will end up with a dry wine with a beautiful pink tint.
