Instructions

Step 1

Remove the nuts and dry them thoroughly. To do this, use a special device - a fortressor column brazier or a drum dryer. At home, when processing small quantities of nuts, you can use a household vegetable dryer or oven. Drying adds flavor and flavor to the nuts.

Step 2

Clean the cooled nuts from debris, sift to remove all foreign impurities. To remove the dry layer of the shell, you can place the nuts in a canvas bag and shake them for a while. Although many housewives consider this to be unnecessary work, because the nuts still need to be peeled.

Step 3

Nuts are calibrated in production. They are divided into three types: small, medium and large. Upon completion of this "dirty" work, the nuts are thrown on ginseng boxes or on SVU-1 machines. After this heavy processing, they are sieved on winnowing machines and thus the kernel is cleaned of shells and "shirts". At home, before removing the shell from the kernel, place the nuts in hot water for 10-15 minutes, then fold them on a sieve. Place the already dry nuts on the table and roll over them with a rolling pin several times.

The same procedure can be done by lightly frying the nut beforehand.

Step 4

Pour the peeled kernels into a household press, they are used to extract juice from berries. Set the highest power and turn on the device. Do not expect the oil to run like a river, a glass of large kernels makes a little more than a teaspoon of raw. Most often, the kernels have to be driven through the press twice or three times. You can use a manual juicer, although it is not very convenient (take the smallest sieve as a nozzle)

Step 5

Collect the resulting product and let it settle. Ideally, you should have a cloudy sediment equal to ¼ of the oil at the bottom of the container.

Step 6

Drain the oil, filter and sterilize in a water bath for no more than 7-10 minutes.
