Dumplings dough with any filling can be dyed in different colors by adding all kinds of natural dyes. Multicolored dumplings are sure to please both children and adults.
It is necessary
- For dumplings dough:
- - egg - 2 pcs.;
- - water - 0.5 cups;
- - wheat flour - 600-700 g;
- - salt - 0.5 teaspoon.
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare dumplings, sift 1/3 of the whole flour in a heap on the table. Make a small funnel in it and carefully pour the salted water into it and add the eggs. Begin to stir the ingredients, gradually "taking" flour from the edges to the middle of the hill. This will create a semi-liquid dough. Stir in the rest of the flour until you have a tough dough that won't stick to your hands.
Step 2
You can add different shades to the dough during kneading. To do this, you need to dissolve the "dye" in salted water, and then pour it into the flour, as described in the previous step.
Step 3
For a yellow dough, dissolve 1 g of ground saffron in the indicated amount of water. To make the dough red, add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste. Add spinach puree to the flour instead of water and knead as usual. Boil the beets until tender, mash them, evaporate the liquid and add the beetroot puree to the dough to turn it purple
Step 4
After kneading, make koloboks out of it and cover with a napkin or a deep plate on top. Let the dough rest for half an hour. This will make it more elastic and easier to roll out.
