The recipe for aromatic tangerine jam will not cause difficulties even for beginners in the field of winter conservation. Little products are required, only by a kilogram, it is not as expensive as it seems at first glance. In addition, the tangerine delicacy turns out to be unrealistically tasty, smelling, evoking dreams of a hot summer, vacation or New Year's holidays. And it is not worth stocking up a lot of tangerine jam - it can be easily prepared at any time of the year.
It is necessary
- - 1 kg of tangerines without damage and stains, signs of rot;
- - 1 kg of granulated sugar;
- - 1 large orange;
- - 200 ml of water;
- - 2 teaspoons of ground ginger;
- - 1 bag of vanillin (optional).
Instructions
Step 1
Peel washed and dried tangerines, divide into slices, remove all white insides. Cut an orange in the same way, its large slices can also be cut into 2-3 pieces.
Step 2
Transfer orange and tangerine slices to an enamel saucepan, pour a glass of water. Leave it covered overnight. It is better to do the preparatory work late at night in order to start making aromatic tangerine jam in the morning.
Step 3
After 8 hours, put the pan over low heat, add ginger powder.
Step 4
Wait for the deliciously smelling orange-tangerine mass to boil, reduce the heat. Cook, stirring regularly, for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Without removing from the stove, add all the sugar, if desired, add vanillin to enhance the aroma. Cook for another 15 minutes over low heat.
Step 6
Turn off the gas, close the pan with a lid, leave for a day or overnight, depending on what time the tangerine jam started.
Step 7
After 8-10 hours, boil the mass again, boil for another 15 minutes, slowly stirring the contents of the pan.
Step 8
Pour hot tangerine jam into small sterilized jars with a capacity of 150, 200, 240 ml, seal with lids or roll up for the winter.
