Lamb is not very popular in Russia (with the exception of the Caucasus) and absolutely in vain, because it contains much less fat and cholesterol than pork and beef. In addition, due to its low calorie content, lamb is considered a dietary product.
It is necessary
- - young lamb;
- - carrot;
- - onion;
- - ham or sausage;
- - 2-3 whole potatoes;
- - Bay leaf;
- - salt, pepper (to taste).
Instructions
Step 1
Lightly fry young lamb in a pan, without sunflower oil. After that, we transfer the meat to a saucepan.
Step 2
Cut the carrots into cubes and fry a little too. If there is lamb fat left in the pan, you can fry the carrots in it.
Step 3
Add a little onion and ham (or sausage) to a pan with carrots, then transfer the whole mixture to a pan with lamb and fill it with water. Add 2-3 peeled whole potatoes on top. Simmer for about 40 minutes.
Step 4
Add bay leaf, black pepper and cloves 4-6 minutes before cooking. You can also add olives, dried apricots or prunes, chopped garlic, lemon, herbs. After a few minutes, remove from the stove. Bon Appetit!
