Too salty soup can be diluted with water. It is better to take hot boiled water, even better - boiling water, straight from the kettle. Unfortunately, this method is not very good if the soup is not thick enough initially.

Absorbs excess salt in rice very well. It is convenient to use the popular portioned rice porridge in bags for quick cooking for this, but any loose product will do. You can wrap the rice in cheesecloth or a clean cloth (just do not take brightly colored fabrics) and boil a little (until the excessive salinity disappears), then remove from the soup. If your first dish does not lose from the presence of a new component in it, feel free to pour a handful of rice into it and cook until tender. Chicken soup, kharcho, hodgepodge or fish soup will only become tastier.

You can boil raw peeled potatoes in it. As with rice, leave it in the soup or remove it if desired.

Bread is also an excellent salt absorber. Better to take stale pieces, fresh bread soaks too quickly. Just keep in mind that the broth will lose its transparency if the bread crusts are not removed from it in time.

Beat the egg into the boiling soup. The method is perfect for salted fish soup. The egg goes well with any fish soups, making their taste more original. Add some sugar. This method will help if the salinity is insignificant, and, moreover, it will enrich such soups as borsch, hodgepodge, pea soup with a pleasant sweetish taste. A flat tablespoon is enough for a large saucepan.

Add a glass of flour. You can pour it directly into the soup, and then you will get a puree soup, or you can do the same as in the variant with rice - put the flour in a gauze or linen bag and cook in the broth, and then pull it out. The disadvantage of this method is that the soup will become cloudy, but this will not affect the taste.
