Chakhokhbili is a classic dish of the national Georgian cuisine, which acquires its own taste in every home, but is always recognizable and loved. Ideally, the dish should be prepared from a pheasant, but it is difficult to get this bird, and therefore, chakhokhbili is most often prepared from chicken.
It is necessary
- - 1 chicken,
- - 2 onions,
- - tomato paste,
- - 3 tomatoes,
- - greens to taste,
- - cilantro, garlic, salt, hops-suneli,
- - 1 egg.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the chicken into pieces, simmer with a little water in a deep saucepan, practically steaming, for about ten to fifteen minutes. Then chop a couple of onions, transfer to a saucepan with chicken and simmer, covered with a lid.
Step 2
Add some tomato paste. Peel the tomatoes and chop them into a roast, cover with a lid (it is not necessary to use hard tomatoes, you can already slightly withered, which will not go anywhere else).
Step 3
Finely chop a large bunch of assorted greens. You can use any greens that you like best, but cilantro must be added. Send all this to the pan along with chopped garlic and hops-suneli. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Finally, when the chicken is done, add the beaten egg. In this case, it is very important to stir constantly so that the sauce thickens and the egg dissolves evenly.
