Korean Potato Salad, or Kamdi-Cha, is a medium hot dish. It was invented among Russian Koreans, and now it is a fairly frequent "Korean" guest on the tables in Russian families.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 300 g chicken meat
  • 2 pcs. onions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Ground black pepper
  • Ground coriander
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Greens (cilantro, dill, parsley, arugula)
  • Vinegar Essence Diluted with Water
  • Vegetable oil

Preparation:

1. Potatoes should be cut into small strips (you can grate on a special grater for Korean carrots). Pour water into a deep saucepan, put it on fire. As soon as the liquid boils, it needs to be salted and the chopped potatoes are lowered into the pan. Cook it until tender (3-4 minutes on average).

2. Cut the meat into small strips, chop the onions. Then put the meat in a preheated pan (do not pour vegetable oil into it!) And fry it a little in your own juice. Then add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, vegetable oil, chopped onion and, stirring everything, fry over medium heat. When the onions are tender, you can remove the skillet from the heat and add crushed or finely chopped garlic to the dish. To stir thoroughly.

3. Now the meat can be combined with potatoes, season the resulting mass with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, a small amount of diluted vinegar essence and add finely chopped greens. Also pepper and sprinkle with ground coriander. Some housewives add chopped bell peppers and olives, but these ingredients are optional.

The dish can be eaten both hot and cold.
