Pasta with tomato sauce is a great dish for those who want to take the path of vegetarianism, and those who just want to add variety to their usual menu. Light but satisfying. It prepares very quickly and does not require special cooking skills.

It is necessary

    • 1-2 heads of onions;
    • 3-4 cloves of garlic;
    • 700-800 g of tomatoes in their own juice;
    • 400 g spaghetti;
    • 1/2 tsp dried oregano;
    • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram;
    • 1/2 tsp dried basil;
    • 1/2 tsp Sahara;
    • 40-50 g grated parmesan cheese;
    • fresh basil;
    • vegetable oil for frying.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the onions and garlic. Wash in cool running water. Chop finely. Heat vegetable oil (preferably olive oil) in a skillet or saucepan. Place the chopped onion and garlic there. Fry over medium heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep from burning.

Step 2

Remove the tomatoes from the jar. Cut into small pieces. Place in sautéed onions in a skillet with juice from a jar. Salt. Add oregano, basil and marjoram. Bring to a boil. Simmer for about 8-10 minutes, until the juice has evaporated and the sauce thickens. Do not cover with a lid. Add a little sugar to make the sauce sweetish and leave the sour taste of the tomatoes.

Step 3

Boil the water separately in a saucepan. Salt, add 1 tbsp. olive oil and top with spaghetti or other favorite pasta. Boil, stirring occasionally, until al dente. Place the spaghetti in a colander.

Step 4

Put the finished spaghetti in a saucepan to the tomato sauce. Stir and simmer for about 1-2 minutes. Make sure that the pasta is not overcooked or too soft. Add finely chopped fresh basil. Stir.

Step 5

Place the pasta with tomato sauce on large plates. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf. Serve with a fresh vegetable salad.
