It is necessary

  • - wheat flour - 500 g;
  • - dry yeast - 1 heaped teaspoon;
  • - sugar - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • - salt - 2 teaspoons;
  • - warm water - 350-400 ml;
  • - vegetable oil - 2-3 tablespoons.

Instructions

Step 1

First, pass the wheat flour through a sieve into a bowl that is deep enough. Thanks to this procedure, matnakash will turn out to be very tender and airy, since the flour is saturated with oxygen.

Step 2

After pouring warm water into a bowl with a deep bottom, add the following ingredients to it: dry yeast, sifted wheat flour, granulated sugar and salt. Stir the resulting mixture for 20 minutes. Then cover the cup with the formed dough on top with cling film and set it aside in a fairly warm place for 60 minutes.

Step 3

After the time has elapsed, lower the dough, which has risen 2 times, with your palms, wetting them with water, and knead it for a few more minutes. After this procedure, set the dough back to warm for about half an hour.

Step 4

Divide the matching dough into two equal pieces and shape each into a ball shape. Let the dough stand like this for one quarter of an hour.

Step 5

After placing one of the dough pieces on a richly greased baking sheet, form a cake out of it, apply a small amount of water to its surface and carefully make grooves in a circle and along the shape. Send the Armenian bread in this form to cook in the oven, the temperature of which is 220 degrees, for about 20 minutes.

Step 6

When the first matnakash is baked, cook the second in exactly the same way.

Step 7

Always serve warm pastries to the table. Matnakash is ready!
