Lamajo is a delicious dish of Armenian cuisine. It is a flat cakes with meat. It is very simple and quick to prepare.
It is necessary
- - flour - 500 g;
- - kefir 2, 5% - 400 ml;
- - salt - 2 tsp;
- - meat (lamb or beef) - 500 g;
- - onions - 2 pcs.;
- - garlic - 1-2 cloves;
- - tomato paste - 3-4 tablespoons;
- - greens (cilantro, parsley) - 30 g;
- - ground pepper (red and black) - 1 tsp.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking the dough. Pour kefir into a bowl, add salt (1 tsp). Pour out the flour. We knead the dough. It should turn out to be cool (like on dumplings). More flour can be added if necessary. The finished dough must be put in a bag and refrigerated for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Cooking the filling. We pass the lamb or beef meat together with onions and garlic through a meat grinder.
Finely chop the greens and add to the minced meat.
Step 3
Add tomato paste, salt, pepper to the minced meat. Mix well. The minced meat must be liquid enough. If the minced meat is not liquid enough, you can add a little water. Leave the minced meat for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Cooking lamajo. Cut off small pieces from the dough and roll them into balls (the size of a table tennis ball). Each ball must be rolled out to form a thin cake (about 3 mm thick).
Step 5
Put the finished cakes on a baking sheet, abundantly sprinkled with flour. You do not need to grease a baking sheet with oil. The tortillas should also be dusted with flour and should not stick to your hands.
Step 6
Spread the minced meat on each cake in a thin layer. The thickness of the minced meat should not exceed 3 mm.
We put a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake for 10 minutes.
Step 7
The edges of the finished lamajo should be slightly browned and crunchy, and the middle should remain soft.
Put the finished lamajo on a plate. First, put one flat cake with the meat up, then put the second flat cake with the meat down on it. It turns out a fragrant, tasty stack of lamajo.
Bon Appetit!!!
