Tanov is a traditional Armenian cuisine. There are different variations of its preparation. This delicious, light and healthy soup is served both hot and cold.
It is necessary
- - 1 liter of kefir
- - 450 grams of sour cream
- - 2 glasses of water
- - 1 egg
- - onion head
- - a bunch of fresh mint (or 100 grams dry)
- - salt
Instructions
Step 1
Dice the onion and lightly fry in vegetable oil. Rinse the rice (any), chop the mint.
Step 2
Stir kefir, water and sour cream in a saucepan. Beat the egg in a separate bowl, add it to the saucepan and mix thoroughly again. Place the soup over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. This is to prevent the soup from curdling.
Step 3
Then add salt to the soup, add rice and cook until tender over low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Remove the tan from the heat, add the sautéed onions and mint. The fragrant dish is ready!
