Lazy stuffed cabbage

Lazy cabbage rolls are one of the popular recipes for many housewives. The dish is easy to prepare and delicious.

For stuffed cabbage you will need:

  • 800 g minced meat (you can do anything)
  • 400-500 g white cabbage
  • 500 g of boiled rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 PC. onions
  • salt and spices to taste
  • 2-3 sprigs of dill and parsley
  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 carrot
  • 150 ml of "Marinara" sauce (can be replaced with another similar one)
  • 600-700 ml of water

Cooking lazy cabbage rolls

  1. Cut the stalk of cabbage. Cut it into strips as small as possible. Can be cut with a vegetable knife. Boil water and boil cabbage in it. It should be cooked for 8-10 minutes. Throw in a colander to drain excess water. Peel and finely chop the onion, for example into cubes. Wash greens and chop finely too.
  2. Take a deep bowl. Put the minced meat, boiled cabbage, rice into it, put about half of the chopped onion, beat in the eggs, add the herbs. Season with salt and pepper (optional), add your favorite spices or spice mixture and mix well.
  3. From the resulting mass, mold koloboks (balls). The size of the balls should be medium or at your discretion. Take a deep baking dish, put the minced meat balls there. Pre-grease the form with vegetable oil.
  4. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the remaining onions in it. Grate the carrots and add to the onion. Simmer it with onions for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft. Add to the sauce. Pour in some hot water. Boil. You can also put more spices here - this is optional and to taste.
  5. Pour the prepared lazy cabbage rolls with the resulting sauce. Close the form with a lid. If there is no lid, cover it with foil. Preheat the oven to 200-220C. Set a form with "sloths" in it and leave them in it until tender - 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients for the dish

  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 150 g green peas (can be frozen)
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil (can be substituted for your favorite)
  • 1 tsp. cumin, paprika, ground coriander
  • a small piece of ginger
  • 70-100 ml of water
  • salt

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Put cumin and ginger in it. Pre-grate ginger. Add the rest of the spices - coriander and paprika.
  2. Chop the cabbage randomly and send it to the spices in the pan. Salt. Mix. Add water. You may need to add a little water. It depends on the juiciness of the cabbage.
  3. Cover the pan and simmer until the cabbage is tender. It will take 10-15 minutes.
  4. After that, add the peas, mix and hold for another 2-3 minutes on the fire. The dish is ready.
