Chicken is loved by gourmets all over the planet. There are a huge number of options for dishes from it. Each country has its own peculiarities of cooking chicken meat. Therefore, cook chicken in sour cream sauce - this dish meets all the requirements.

- 1 chicken (1-1.5 kg);
- 0.75 liters of water;
- 250 g sour cream;
- 2 tablespoons flour;
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large onion;
- vegetable oil for frying;
- 4-5 cloves of garlic;
- ground black pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Examine the chicken carefully, especially the wings and legs. Remove any fluff and feathers from them.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken thoroughly under cold running water. Cut off excess fat. Cut into portions with a sharp knife.
Step 3
Place the chicken pieces in a saucepan. In a separate bowl, mix water and sour cream until smooth. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
Step 4
Place the pot of chicken over high heat and cover. Bring the contents of the saucepan to a boil, reduce heat. The dish should boil quietly.
Step 5
Pour 0.5 cups of liquid from a saucepan with a ladle, cool. Pour flour into the cooled liquid, stir until the lumps disappear completely. Add salt to this, about 0.5 teaspoon.
Step 6
Peel the onion and chop finely. Fry it in vegetable oil. Do not fry the onions until golden brown.
Step 7
Place the fried onions in the pot where the chicken is stewing. Pour the diluted flour into it, mix gently. Bring the chicken to a boil. Taste the sauce and add salt if necessary.
Step 8
Simmer the chicken until tender. A few minutes before the end of cooking, place chopped garlic in a saucepan. The amount of garlic can be increased if desired. Season the chicken in sour cream sauce with ground black pepper.
Step 9
Put a side dish, chicken pieces on a plate, pour over everything with sour cream sauce. Serve hot.
