Traditional Greek feta cheese made from goat or sheep milk is the main ingredient in choriatica salad. Its consistency is similar to dense cottage cheese, and the taste gives an unobtrusive pleasant sourness. This taste of cheese does not clog fresh vegetables, in contrast to the sharp and salty feta cheese, which is replaced by feta Europeans.
It is necessary
- - 2 tomatoes
- - 1 green pepper
- - 2 cucumbers
- - 10 olives
- - 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- - 300 grams of feta cheese
- - red onion head
- - olive oil
- - salt
Instructions
Step 1
Cucumbers are carefully peeled and cut into semicircular large slices. For convenient mixing, they are folded into a sufficiently deep and wide bowl or salad bowl.
Step 2
Tomatoes are cut into large slices, added to cucumbers in a salad bowl and mixed. Stir the Greek salad by hand, gradually adding olive oil.
Step 3
Green bell peppers are carefully cleaned of partitions and seeds and cut into large cubes. The pepper is added to the salad bowl, and gently mixed with the rest of the vegetables with your hands.
Step 4
Red onion is cut into thin half rings and divided again by hand into thin petals. It is added to the salad bowl to other vegetables, everything is gently mixed.
Step 5
Pitted olives are added to the salad bowl. If you bought olives with pits, you can remove them by crushing the berries with the flat side of a knife.
Step 6
With a sharp knife, hard feta is cut into rectangular slices, the thickness of which is about 1 centimeter. The knife can be dipped in water beforehand so that the cheese does not stick to the blade.
Step 7
The vegetables in the salad bowl are mixed once again and laid out on the plates. Feta is laid out on top of each plate, 2 slices. Sprinkled generously with olive oil.
Step 8
The salad is lightly salted and sprinkled with dried oregano. Sprinkle with oil again and serve right away, until the vegetables are juiced.
