Wash oranges and lemons thoroughly, then pour boiling water over and hold the fruit in it for 5-10 minutes.

With two lemons and three oranges, remove the zest with a fine grater, and then cut it into thin strips.

Next, squeeze the juice out of the citrus fruits. You can do it manually or with a juicer, whichever is more convenient for you.

The rind should not be thrown away, as it contains a large amount of pectin, which will help thicken the jam.

The prepared juice must be poured into a deep dish that is suitable for a microwave oven, add 200 ml of water and zest there.

The white part from the peel must be wrapped in cheesecloth and also dipped in juice, then boiled before adding sugar along with the juice to remove the desired pectin from it.

The jam should be covered with plastic wrap and cooked in the microwave for 20-25 minutes at full power until the rind is soft. Then it must be taken out, squeezed out and discarded.
Step 8
Next, you need to add sugar, mix and cook for another half hour at full power.
Step 9
The finished jam should boil down. To test, a little hot jam must be dripped onto a plate. As it cools, it should thicken.

Put the finished jam into clean jars and cool well.
