How to cook gingerbread cookies on kefir

To prepare gingerbread according to this recipe, you need to take: - ½ l of kefir; - 4, 5-5 glasses of wheat flour; - 400 g of granulated sugar; - 3 eggs; - 1 tsp baking soda; - 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil; - salt on the tip of the knife.

For glaze: - 2 egg whites; - 200 g of granulated sugar.

Add 200 grams of sugar to kefir. Mix very well and beat in eggs and add vegetable oil. Quench baking soda in a small amount of kefir and add to the total mass along with salt. Mix everything thoroughly again and begin to gradually add flour, kneading the dough. As a result, it should resemble very thick sour cream in consistency.

Sprinkle flour on your work surface and gently roll out the prepared dough into a finger-thick layer. Cut out with special cookie cutters or a glass of gingerbread.

Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil, gently transfer the gingerbread cookies to it and place for half an hour in an oven preheated to 180 ° C.

Prepare the frosting at this time. To do this, carefully separate the whites from the yolks and beat the whites with a whisk or mixer with 200 grams of granulated sugar until a thick, strong foam is formed.

Recipe for honey gingerbread on kefir

To cook honey gingerbread cookies on kefir, you will need the following components: - 4 glasses of wheat flour; - 100 ml of kefir; - 3 eggs; - 25 g butter; - 1 glass of honey; - 1 tbsp. l. ground cinnamon; - ½ tsp. ground cloves; - ½ tsp. baking soda; - a pinch of salt; - 1 glass of almonds.

Melt honey in a water bath or microwave. Then mix it with kefir and gradually add flour mixed with salt. Add pre-mashed eggs, baking soda quenched in kefir, softened butter, ground cinnamon and cloves. Peel almonds or other nuts of your choice and chop finely with a knife. Then add to the bulk and mix everything very well.

Place the prepared dough on a well-floured work surface and roll out into a layer approximately 1–1.5 centimeters thick. Then cut out the gingerbread with a glass or a special notch. Then place them on a cold baking sheet sprinkled with flour.

Bake honey cakes in a preheated oven at 210-220 ° C for 15-16 minutes.
