It is necessary

  • - Ginger root
  • - Two lemons
  • - Sugar
  • - Dry yeast
  • - Three-liter can
  • - Medical glove

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the ginger and grate on a fine grater. You should get two to three tablespoons of ginger mass.

Put it in a jar.

Step 2

Squeeze the juice out of the lemons. You can even use your hands. It's not scary if pulp or bones get into the jar!

Step 3

Pour 300-350 grams of granulated sugar there. If you like sweets, take 350, if you like astringency and sourness more, 300 is enough.

Step 4

Top off with dry yeast. Just a little, about a quarter of a teaspoon is enough.

Step 5

Fill the jar with warm water. It is better to heat it in a saucepan to a temperature of 40-45 degrees. It should not be scalding, but it should also be higher than room temperature for the yeast to begin to ferment.

Step 6

Put on a regular medical glove on top of the jar. Puncture a hole in one of your fingers with a toothpick, and leave the jar for two days in a dark, cool place.

Let me explain in more detail. In the jar, thanks to the combination of yeast and sugar, the fermentation process begins. At this stage, our ale should not be in contact with oxygen. However, carbon dioxide is released during fermentation, and if the jar is simply sealed with a lid, it can explode. A glove with a hole will prevent fresh air from getting inside, and the released gas will accumulate in the glove itself, and, if necessary, bleed through the hole.

Step 7

After two days, pour the contents of the jar into plastic bottles, screw it with a cork and put it in the refrigerator. During this time, the yeast will "eat" almost all the sugar and the fermentation process will begin to slow down. The gassing process starts in the refrigerator.

Step 8

After two days, the bottles can be opened and drunk. I recommend pouring through a strainer, as excess ginger and lemon will not decorate your glasses. The drink will turn out to be carbonated and delicious!
