Sea fish stewed with vegetables is a tasty and healthy dish. Coconut milk gives the dish a special originality. Cooking a fish is quite simple. The specified amount of food is enough for 2 servings.

It is necessary

  • - fillet of sea fish (haddock, cod) - 300 g;
  • - onion - 1 head;
  • - carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • - red bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • - tomatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • - lemon - 1/2 pc.;
  • - coconut milk - 200 ml;
  • - vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • - salt - a pinch;
  • - ground white pepper - a pinch.

Instructions

Step 1

Preparation of fish. Rinse the fish fillet with water and cut into portions. Season with salt and pepper, pour with lemon juice and marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Peel the onion, cut into small cubes. Wash the bell peppers, remove the stalk and seeds, cut into medium-sized pieces. Wash the tomatoes. Dip the tomatoes in boiling water for 10-15 seconds, then peel them off. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.

Step 3

Mix onion with pepper and fry in vegetable oil in a deep saucepan (about 5 minutes). Then add tomatoes to the vegetables and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Step 4

Remove half of the vegetables from the saucepan. Place the fish fillets on top of the remaining vegetables, and place the remaining vegetables on top. Pour in coconut milk gently, season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the dish over low heat, covered for about 15-20 minutes. Decorate the finished dish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
