Easter or the Resurrection of the Lord is a great holiday, one of the symbols of which is the Easter cake. You don't have to buy Easter cake in the store, because you can bake it at home with all your heart and love.
Preparation of food
In order to cook Easter cake, you will need: 500 ml of milk, 11 g of dry yeast, 1 kg of flour, 200 g of butter, 6 eggs, 2 proteins, 400 g of granulated sugar, 300 g of raisins, 1 tsp. vanilla sugar.
Cooking Easter cake
You need to start cooking Easter cake with the preparation of the dough, for this, heat the required amount of milk, but do not bring it to a boil, then dissolve the yeast in it. Then after 5 minutes, add wheat flour to this mixture and stir the dough well. Cover the bowl with a towel and then put it in a warm place for half an hour.
Take 6 eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Mash the yolks with 300 g of sugar and a teaspoon of vanillin. Beat the whites into a foam, adding a pinch of salt. First, add the yolks to the dough that has come up, then immediately add the softened butter and mix well. Next, enter the proteins.
Knead the dough, add a little more flour if necessary. Put it back in a warm place for 50-60 minutes.
At this time, soak the raisins in warm water, leave for 15 minutes, after the time has passed, drain the water, and rinse the raisins well. Add it to the dough.
Take a baking dish and grease it well with vegetable oil, put the Easter cake dough into the baking dish. Cover with a towel or cling film to help the dough rise a little more. After 10 minutes, put the form in an oven preheated to 100 degrees, bake for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. When the Easter cake is baked, leave it to cool in the turned off oven.
At this time, prepare the icing, for this, beat two proteins with a pinch of salt, without stopping whipping, gradually add 100 g of granulated sugar. Lubricate the warm cake with icing, decorate with pastry sprinkles.
