Waiting for guests always worries the hostess. After all, you really want to surprise your friends or relatives with some interesting and original dish, the taste of which will be remembered for a long time.
To prepare an unusual dish, you do not have to buy exotic products that not everyone will like. You can use simple, affordable ingredients, only in a new version.
Meat rolls with rice
This hearty hot dish is easy enough to prepare. Guests will appreciate the taste and be sure to ask for a recipe.
Ingredients:
- meat (pork, beef or chicken fillet), 1 kg;
- onions, 1-2 medium pieces;
- rice, 1 glass;
- eggs, 3 pcs;
- sour cream, 200 grams;
- broth (you can meat or vegetable), 1-2 glasses.
Prepare the filling first. Boil the rice halfway through. In the process of further cooking, it will become crumbly and absorb the meat juice.
Fry the onions in a skillet with a little oil, so that the dish is not very greasy. Boil the eggs. After they have cooled, peel and finely chop. Mix everything well in a separate dish.
Cut the meat into pieces. They must be large enough. Beat off the meat and season with salt and pepper. Put the filling on the pieces of meat and roll everything up. Tie the resulting tubules with a thread and fry them well in a skillet on all sides.
Transfer the tubes to a cauldron, pour in the pre-prepared broth, add bay leaf, sour cream. Simmer everything until the meat is tender.
If the tubes are small, serve them with a side dish, although they may well be a separate dish.
Mushroom basket salad
Prepare the salad quickly enough, but the taste and appearance will surprise and delight even fastidious guests. Such a dish is good to serve on a festive table, for example, for a birthday.
Ingredients:
- canned mushrooms, 200 grams;
- onion, 1pc.;
- chicken fillet, 200 grams;
- fresh pineapple, 1 pc.;
- egg, 1 pc.;
- mayonnaise for dressing, quantity at will;
- salt pepper.
Don't use too much oil, or the salad will be very greasy.
Finely chop the onion and fry. Wash the chicken fillet, cut into strips and add to the fried onions. Bring the chicken until tender, cool and cut into medium chunks.
Boil an egg and chop it into a separate dish. Chop the mushrooms and place in a dish with an egg. Cut off the top of the pineapple, remove the pulp without damaging the shell itself, and cut it into pieces, add to the rest of the ingredients.
Stir the salad, season with mayonnaise and put it in the pineapple, where the pulp was previously. Serve with the top closed, open directly on the table. This dish looks very impressive.
