Cutlets are a popular dish that many housewives often cook. But not everyone knows that they can be made not only from minced meat, but also from cabbage. If you are on a diet or fasting, then by cooking such unusual cabbage patties, you not only diversify your usual diet, but also get an incredibly tasty meal with a crispy outside and tender pulp inside.
It is necessary
- - cabbage - 1 small fork (about 800 g);
- - large onions - 2 pcs.;
- - chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
- - first grade flour - 130 g (1 glass);
- - butter - 50 g (can be replaced with sunflower oil);
- - dried herbs (for example, dill) - 1 tbsp. l.;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt;
- - bread crumbs:
- - sunflower oil;
- - frying pan.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to prepare the cabbage. Place cold water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. While the water is heating, remove the first two layers of leaves from the fork and cut into 4 pieces. After boiling, dip the cabbage in a saucepan, bring to a boil again and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 2
After the time has passed, drain the water, and put the cabbage in a colander to drain the excess liquid. Now you need to let it cool a little, and then cut each part into several pieces and pass through a meat grinder (you can use a blender or a food processor). After that, squeeze the mass and transfer to a deep bowl.
Step 3
Peel the onions and chop them into small cubes. Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the onion until golden brown, then cool it down.
Step 4
Add the sautéed onion, chicken eggs, flour, dried herbs (you can replace it with fresh finely chopped herbs), black pepper and salt into the bowl to the cabbage. Stir everything together and form into round or oval patties. Then roll them in breadcrumbs.
Step 5
Pour sunflower oil into the pan and, when it warms up enough, lay the blanks and fry at medium temperature until golden brown. Then turn them over to the other side and fry until the same condition.
Step 6
Ready-made cabbage patties can be served immediately directly from the pan as a separate dish (best with sour cream) or even as a side dish for meat.
