This variation of a traditional Russian dish is suitable when there is no meat at hand or there is not enough free time to cook. Solyanka with sausages can be prepared in literally half an hour, while you will get a budget, hearty, very aromatic and tasty first course.

It is necessary

  • Two sausages,
  • one medium onion
  • two small carrots,
  • 3 large potatoes,
  • 4 gherkins,
  • a jar of olives,
  • 4 slices of lemon,
  • some vegetable oil
  • two tablespoons of tomato paste.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour water into a medium-sized saucepan, set on a small fire.

While the water is boiling, we wash and peel the potatoes, cut them into medium cubes and put them in a saucepan with boiling water.

Step 2

Cut the sausages (you can take the sausages) into circles.

Pour a small amount of vegetable or olive oil into the pan, heat and fry the sausages on both sides until blush. We transfer the fried sausages to the pot next to the potatoes.

Step 3

We wash and peel two small carrots, three coarsely (I cut them into small cubes).

Peel the onion and cut into medium cubes.

Step 4

Put the prepared vegetables in a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil, fry for about ten minutes. Add two tablespoons of tomato paste to the pan (without adding water) and simmer for another ten minutes.

Step 5

We take gherkins (4 things are quite enough, but you can take five) cut into small cubes or circles - if desired. Cut the olives into quarters.

Cut each lemon circle into four parts.

Step 6

Put the fried vegetables, gherkins, olives and lemon quarters in a saucepan with the potatoes. Cook the soup over low heat for ten minutes (watch the potatoes ready).

Step 7

We try a hodgepodge with sausages for salt, if it is not enough, then you can salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the finished tasty hodgepodge with sausages into portioned cups, decorate with fresh chopped herbs and serve along with sour cream or mayonnaise. Enjoy your meal.
