Indulge in this authentic Florentine pizza that's quick to prepare and a hearty stand-alone dish. The hallmark of Florentine pizza is the hammered egg, which resembles the scrambled eggs in the middle of a pizza.
It is necessary
- - 6 slices of bacon
- - 150 g spinach leaves
- - 2 pizza bases
- - 125 ml tomato sauce
- - 1 glass of grated cheese
- - 2 eggs
- - 100 g cherry tomatoes
- - 1 tbsp. vegetable oil for greasing the baking sheet
- - salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 220C. Heat a skillet over high heat. Add the bacon and sauté, turning occasionally for 5 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy. Place the bacon on a paper towel to absorb excess fat.
Step 2
Put spinach in a frying pan, fry it for 2-3 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Place the pizza base on a greased baking sheet. Brush with tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with half of the grated cheese. Place the spinach and bacon on top of the cheese, then crack an egg in the middle of each pizza. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and top with the tomatoes.
Step 4
Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is golden brown and egg is baked. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
