Despite the abundance of muffins in grocery stores, homemade cakes are always a priority, because they are always fresh, fragrant, and also free from harmful additives and flavors.
Striped cupcakes are an excellent dessert for morning tea, they are simple and easy to prepare, and do not require any special costs and skills. Especially children will like this dessert because of its unusual appearance.
For baking you will need:
- milk - 1/2 cup;
- cocoa - 1 tsp;
- egg - 1 piece;
- flour - 170 g;
- sugar - 3/4 cup;
- baking powder for flour - 1 tsp;
- vanillin - to taste.
Beat the egg into a deep bowl, add vanillin and sugar and stir until the latter dissolves, pour in milk and beat with a whisk until smooth. We fill in the baking powder and flour in small portions, without ceasing to interfere, you should get a viscous elastic dough. We divide it into two equal parts, in one of which we add cocoa. Grease small molds (muffins) with butter and put the dough in them, alternating white and black. We fill the molds only halfway, because the dough will rise in the oven.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, place the molds in a baking sheet or frying pan and send them to bake for 15-20 minutes. We check the readiness of the cupcakes with a toothpick. If you wish, you can decorate the cooled muffins with jam, frosting or any cream. If there are no small tins, you can use the existing baking dish.
