What could be tastier than a stewed rabbit with vegetables and sour cream? The dish turns out to be incredibly tender, aromatic, and most importantly, delicious. It is quite simple to prepare it, and you can serve the stewed rabbit not only for the dinner, but also for the festive table.
It is necessary
- • 750 g of rabbit meat;
- • 2 bell peppers;
- • 1 potato tuber;
- • 450 g sour cream;
- • 6 medium sized onions;
- • 2 ripe tomatoes;
- • 1 zucchini;
- • 2 tablespoons of butter;
- • salt and spices.
Instructions
Step 1
You will need rabbit drumsticks. They must be thoroughly rinsed in running water. After the excess liquid has drained, the meat should be cut into medium-sized pieces.
Step 2
The bulbs must be peeled, then rinsed thoroughly in water, preferably cold. Then, using a sharp knife, the onion heads should be cut in half, and each half should be cut lengthwise into thin enough strips.
Step 3
Put the frying pan on a hot stove and put the right amount of butter in it. You also need to add your favorite spices there. After the oil has warmed up, put the chopped onion into it. It should be fried with regular stirring. Then put the meat in a frying pan and fry it over medium heat, not forgetting to stir regularly.
Step 4
Potato tubers must be peeled and rinsed thoroughly. After that, they must be chopped by cutting them with a knife into small cubes. Tomatoes should be thoroughly washed and the stalk removed. They also need to be cut into small cubes.
Step 5
Wash the zucchini, remove the skin if desired and cut it like the rest of the vegetables into small cubes using a sharp knife.
Step 6
After all the vegetables are prepared, they must be poured into the pan where the rabbit is cooking. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.
Step 7
When the meat and vegetables give juice, you will need to add sour cream to the pan. After that, cover the pan tightly and reduce the heat to a minimum.
Step 8
The dish will be ready in about 40 minutes, after the rabbit meat is quite soft. Garnish the finished dish with fresh, washed and chopped herbs. It is best served hot.
