Ingredients:
- 300 g of rice groats;
- 1 large carrot;
- 1 bell pepper;
- 1 can of canned peas and corn;
- sunflower oil;
- 1 onion;
- 1 head of garlic;
- favorite spices and salt.
Preparation:
- First, prepare your rice grits. To do this, rinse it thoroughly. Then it is poured over with cold water and left for about 60 minutes.
- The husk must be removed from the bulb. Use a sharp knife to cut it into very small cubes.
- Next, you need to cut off the skin from the carrots. After the root vegetable is thoroughly washed, it should be cut into thin cubes or into not very large cubes. Grinding carrots with a grater is not recommended in this case.
- For bell peppers, you need to remove the seeds along with the stalk. After that, the pepper must be thoroughly rinsed and chopped, cut into small squares or strips.
- Open jars of peas and corn and remove any excess liquid from them.
- Prepared carrots are poured into a pre-heated frying pan, into which you need to pour a little sunflower oil. It must be fried over medium heat, stirring continuously. Add salt and the necessary spices to the carrots.
- Then pour the chopped onion into the pan. It should be fried until transparent. After that, all other pre-prepared vegetables, including peas and corn, are poured into the pan. The vegetables should only be allowed to warm up a little, and then rice cereals should be laid out on top of them in an even layer.
- The garlic head should be washed very well and, without peeling it, stick it into the cereal. The pilaf is salted and sprinkled with your favorite spices. After that, slightly hot water is poured into the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer until cooked through. Do not forget to stir the pilaf before serving.
