Panforte is an Italian delicacy prepared for Christmas. Nowadays it is made all year round. This dish will not only delight you with its taste, but also for sure with the fact that it can be stored for a long time.
It is necessary
- - hazelnuts - 125 g;
- - almonds - 125 g;
- - dried apricots - 100 g;
- - figs - 100 g;
- - brown sugar - 100 g;
- - wheat flour - 60 g;
- - cocoa powder - 40 g;
- - lemon peel - 2 teaspoons;
- - ground cinnamon - 2 teaspoons;
- - honey - 200 g;
- - icing sugar - 40 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Transfer the hazelnuts to a skillet without oil and fry for 3 minutes. Then rub it with a towel. This will remove unnecessary husks from it.
Step 2
Almonds must be coarsely chopped, and dried fruits must be chopped into small pieces.
Step 3
Combine the following ingredients in one cup: peeled hazelnuts, chopped almonds, chopped dried fruit, and grated lemon zest. Mix the resulting mass.
Step 4
Combine flour, cinnamon and cocoa. Add this mass to a mixture of nuts and dried fruits and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
The honey and sugar should be transferred to a saucepan and put on fire. The mixture must be heated until the sugar is completely dissolved. At the same time, do not forget to stir it constantly. When the sugar has dissolved and the mass has boiled, you need to pour the mixture over the nuts with dried fruits. Mix thoroughly. Do everything very quickly, as the resulting mass becomes thick very quickly.
Step 6
Place parchment on a baking dish and brush it with butter. Put the resulting mass on a mold, leveling with a spoon. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and send the dessert into it for half an hour. After the time has passed, remove the dish, cool and decorate with powdered sugar. Panforte is ready!
