  • - 2 kg tomato;
  • - 1 kg of plums;
  • - 250 g onions

  • - 200 g of sugar;
  • - 2 pcs. red hot pepper;
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper mixture
  • - 2 bay leaves;
  • - 2 tbsp. spoons of 9% vinegar solution;
  • - 100 g of garlic;
  • - greens (to taste).

Step 1

First, wash and stub the plums.

Step 2

The tomatoes need to be washed and then peeled. To make the peel easier to come off them, pour boiling water over the tomatoes. You can leave them in hot water for a couple of minutes. Cut the peeled tomatoes into 2-4 pieces.

Step 3

Do the same with the onions. It needs to be washed, peeled and cut into 4 pieces in the same way.

Step 4

Peel the garlic. Wash the red pepper and cut off its tails.

Step 5

Chop tomatoes, plums and onions in a meat grinder. Pour the result into a saucepan and cook for a couple of hours over low heat.

Then grind the garlic, hot pepper and herbs with a meat grinder.

Add sugar, salt, bay leaf, pepper mixture, and also what you just chopped - garlic, hot peppers and herbs into the mixture that you have cooked over low heat.

Step 8

Add the vinegar and cook the ketchup for another 40 minutes before thickening. Then take out the bay leaf.

Step 9

Plum ketchup is ready. It remains only to prepare the cans, sterilize them, put the finished products in the cans and roll them up with lids, which must also be sterilized first.
