This stew is easy to make as no complicated ingredients are required. True, you will have to spend a little more time to prepare it, but in the end you will get a dish with an amazing combination of tender beef, delicious vegetables and hearty soup.
It is necessary
- - 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- - 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- - 3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- - 1 medium carrot, chopped
- - 1 medium potato
- - 1 kg of beef (cut into large cubes)
- - 1 teaspoon Vegeta
- - 1 teaspoon of salt
- - 1 teaspoon paprika
- - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- - 4 glasses of water
- - 500 g turnips
- - fresh parsley leaves
Instructions
Step 1
Fry the onions, garlic, carrots and potatoes in a deep saucepan for 4-5 minutes.
Step 2
Then add the pieces of beef and simmer a little.
Step 3
Cover the saucepan lightly and continue simmering for 20-30 minutes until all liquid has evaporated.
Step 4
Stir well to prevent beef or vegetables from burning. Now is the time to add spices: vegeta, salt, paprika, black pepper. Stir again. The meat should be well covered with spices.
Step 5
Then add water, bring it to a boil and then lower the temperature. Simmer for 2-2.5 hours. Some of the water will evaporate, so remember to look into the pot every 20-30 minutes to add it if necessary. Meat should always be covered with water during cooking.
Step 6
Add the diced turnips and cook for another 45 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the stew warm with fresh parsley.
