Veal in a pot is a common dish. Its preparation has many variations. You can bake clean meat, but this recipe makes meat with potatoes very tasty.

It is necessary

  • - 800 g of veal;
  • - 500 g of potatoes;
  • - 2 medium onions;
  • - 50 g butter;
  • - 2 tbsp. vegetable oil;
  • - salt to taste;
  • - pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the veal, dry, divide into medium pieces. Then put in a preheated pan with vegetable oil and fry until brown crust (in no case cover with a lid, the meat should be fried, not stewed).

Step 2

Remove the fried meat from the pan, and add a couple of tablespoons of meat broth, wine or just water to it. Bring the liquid to a boil, let it boil a little, salt, if necessary.

Step 3

Cut the potatoes into small cubes and place on the bottom of the pot. Place the fried meat tightly on the potatoes. Each pot should be almost filled to the brim.

Step 4

Cut the onion into small cubes and fry until half cooked. Then put the onion on the meat, add the butter and pour over the boiled broth from the pan.

Step 5

Veal in a pot is cooked for about an hour, in the oven at 200 degrees. Serve in a pot or on a shared platter.
