- 1/2 fork white cabbage;
- 2 medium-sized bell peppers;
- 3 medium carrots;
- 5 tomatoes;
- 2 pcs. onions;
- 1/2 cup pearl barley;
- 400 g chicken fillet;
- 1 cup refined sunflower oil
- salt;
- ground black pepper;
- dill greens;
- parsley.

Step 1
Prepare all the vegetables you need: peel the top green leaves from the cabbage, wash the peppers and tomatoes, peel the onions and carrots. If you want the dish to turn out beautiful and flowery in appearance, it is better to use yellow peppers. Chop the cabbage into strips, cut the peppers and tomatoes into slices, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, finely chop the onion. Take a large saucepan and drop the shredded vegetables into it.
Step 2
Rinse half a glass of pearl barley, cut the chicken into small pieces and add them to the vegetables. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and fill with a glass of vegetable oil.
Step 3
Place the pot on the stove, cover and simmer for two hours, stirring occasionally. Fifteen minutes before cooking, add salt and black pepper.
Garnish with finely chopped dill and parsley when serving. Barley with vegetables can be served hot or used as a cold snack.
