Simple vanilla pie is a dessert from Portugal, the original name is Simple vanilla pie. You can cook this delicacy both in the oven and in a slow cooker. The top of the cake is a light layer of meringue, under which is a thin layer of syrup, and in the end - the fragrant "essence" of the pie!
It is necessary
- - 350 g of sugar;
- - 300 g flour;
- - 200 g butter;
- - 6 eggs;
- - 2 bags of vanilla sugar;
- - 2 tsp baking powder.
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter, add 4 whole eggs and 2 yolks (leave the whites from two eggs, they will still come in handy), beat with a mixer for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add 150g sugar and vanilla sugar, beat until fluffy. Just do not overdo it - after all, this is not a biscuit, but a delicious fluffy pie.
Step 3
Slowly add flour and baking powder, first stir with a mixer, then with a spatula - the dough will become more stringy. The scapula will eventually stand in the dough.
Step 4
Whisk the remaining two whites, add the remaining sugar, and stir.
Step 5
Grease the mold with butter, sprinkle with flour, transfer the dough into it. Pour the whites on top. No need to level, as a result you should get a crust, which will crack, creating a flake effect.
Step 6
Bake the vanilla pie for 50 minutes at 180 degrees in the oven or 60 minutes in the multicooker ("Bake" mode). Check the doneness with a toothpick or wooden stick. The treat can be served warm or chilled.
