Meat soups are delicious and hearty meals suitable for family meals. Chicken pea soup is prepared with the addition of loin. Of course, soaking the peas will take time. But the result will exceed your expectations - the first course will delight you with its aroma!
It is necessary
- - 500 g of dry turkish peas;
- - 200 g smoked loin or brisket;
- - 2 liters of water;
- - one carrot, one onion;
- - butter, celery, dried white bread, spices - for everybody.
Instructions
Step 1
Soak the chickpeas in cold water for four to five hours. It is better to leave the peas overnight and start cooking in the morning. After that, the water from the peas must be drained. Boil the peas in slightly salted fresh water. It is required to cook until half cooked, then drain the water into another dish - it will still be useful to us in the future.
Step 2
Peel onions, carrots, celery, chop finely, simmer in butter with a little water. Cut the loin, send it to the prepared vegetables, wait until all the fat has evaporated.
Step 3
Now you can add the peas to the same place. At the end of cooking, pour in the water that you have left over from boiling the peas. Stir, boil. Season with your favorite spices. You can use a versatile mix of vegetables and herbs. The soup should be thick enough.
