Squid in a batter of cornmeal and beer are deep-fried and then dried in the oven. Beer batter makes squid an original appetizer. The dish can be eaten both warm and cold.
It is necessary
- - squids (3 pcs.);
- - eggs (2 pcs.);
- - beer (0.5 l);
- - corn flour (400 g);
- - salt (to taste);
- - vegetable oil (100 g);
- - sesame seeds (50 g).
Instructions
Step 1
We wash the squids and peel them. This is easy to do if you first dip the seafood in boiling water for 5 minutes. We also remove chitinous rods.
Step 2
Dip the prepared squids in boiled salted water and boil for a couple of minutes. We take it out of the water, cool it a little and cut it into rings.
Step 3
Mix and beat the yolks with beer and corn flour (can be replaced with regular wheat flour). Beat the whites separately with a pinch of salt. We combine proteins with yolks.
Step 4
Dip the squid rings in batter and fry in vegetable oil in a frying pan (you can use a deep fryer). We fry them just a little, just so that the batter grabs.
Step 5
After that, put the squid rings in batter on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown. Having taken out of the oven, it is advisable to transfer the squid rings to edible paper and let the excess oil soak into the paper.
