If desired, you can add ground paprika and bay leaves. Mix well again and leave under the lid for 5 minutes. At this time, you can prepare tomato dressing: pour boiling water over the tomatoes, remove the skin and cut into small cubes. If these vegetables are not there, you can replace them with 3 tablespoons. tomato sauce or paste. Then the cabbage is cooked under the lid until the desired softness. If necessary, you can add a little water to the pan during braising.
By the way, you can prepare a sauce for stewed cabbage with chicken: for this it is enough to mix sour cream with chopped herbs (basil, dill or parsley).
