Meringue is a French dessert made from egg whites and baked in the oven. Historical sources say that the first data about him appeared in 1692 in the cookbook by François Massialo.
It is necessary
- For the meringue:
- - proteins 4 pcs.;
- - powdered sugar 220 g;
- - starch 2 teaspoons;
- - vinegar 1 teaspoon;
- - cherry vodka 1 teaspoon.
- For filling:
- - cherry vodka 2 tbsp. spoons;
- - canned cherries in their own juice 500 g;
- - low-fat curd cheese (type Quark) 400 g;
- - sugar 2 tbsp. spoons;
- - whipping cream 250 g;
- - grated chocolate 50 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking the filling. We take canned cherries and drain the juice from them, you need to leave about 2 tablespoons of juice. Add 1 tbsp to the cherries. a spoonful of cherry vodka and leave to infuse. We take curd cheese, sugar and 1 tbsp. spoon of vodka and mix. Then carefully add the cream to the curd mass.
Step 2
Cooking meringues. Beat the whites with a mixer and gradually add sugar to them, then starch, vinegar and cherry vodka. We mix everything. Spread the baking paper on a baking sheet and lay out the meringue, leaving a depression for the filling. We put the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, then bake the meringue for 1.5 hours at a temperature of 100 degrees. It should be crispy.
Step 3
When the meringue is ready, put the curd filling first, then the cooked cherries. The cake is ready to serve!
