Borsch is a traditional Russian dish that is served first. Probably, everyone has tried this dish in his life, but there are different variants of it, but here is one of them.
It is necessary
- -500 g of meat (best of all pork)
- -4 potatoes
- -300 g cabbage
- -1 carrots
- -2 onions
- -1 large bell pepper
- -3 tomatoes
- -4 tbsp. l. tomato or 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
- -salt
- -pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Pour water into a large enough saucepan, put on fire, add pork and cook for 2-3 hours until the meat is cooked through. When the water boils, add salt to the water. Remove the meat after cooking. If the meat was with bones, then separate the flesh from them and cut into small pieces, if without bones, then just cut into pieces.
Step 2
Rinse vegetables - potatoes, carrots, bell peppers and tomatoes. Peel and rinse potatoes, onions and carrots. Cut the potatoes into cubes. Cut the onions and carrots into small strips, put in a frying pan preheated with oil, fry the vegetables until soft, the onions should be browned.
Step 3
Put the tomatoes in a bowl and pour over boiling water, wait 20-30 seconds, then remove the peel and grate on a fine grater, and then add to the pan to the onions and carrots, add the tomato there, cook for 15 minutes over low heat under the lid.
Step 4
Finely chop the cabbage, and peel the pepper from the seeds and cut into strips. Pour potatoes into the broth, cook it almost until tender, at this moment add the cabbage, after a few minutes - pepper and fry. Season with salt and pepper, cook until all vegetables are soft.
